Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the software, websites, and services offered by Roe Apps LLC ("Roe Apps," "we," "us"), including SynthViz, AudioWarp, Video Looper, and Backcheck (each an "App"). By downloading, installing, or using any App or website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

1The products

We make small, focused creative and productivity apps. Each App is offered as a free version — usually a browser version or a time-limited trial — and a paid version unlocked with a license key. Features of the free and paid versions are described on each App's page.

2License to use the software

When you buy an App, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use that App on devices you own or control, subject to any activation limit shown at purchase. The software is licensed, not sold. You may not:

• resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the App or your license key;
• copy, decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
• remove or alter any proprietary notices; or
• share a license key to let others avoid paying for it.

A license key may be deactivated if it is used in a way that breaks these Terms.

3Free trials

Some Apps let you try the full experience before paying (for example, a browser version or a short in-app trial). Trials are provided "as is" and may change or end at any time. Buying a license removes the trial limits.

4Purchases, payment, and taxes

Our order process and payments are handled by our reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all purchases. When you buy an App, you also agree to Paddle's buyer terms, and Paddle — not Roe Apps — processes your payment, handles billing, and collects any applicable sales tax or VAT. Prices are shown in your local currency where possible and are charged once, unless stated otherwise. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

5Refunds

Paid purchases are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6Acceptable use

You agree to use the Apps lawfully and not to use them to infringe others' rights, to build a competing product from our code, or to interfere with or disrupt our services or infrastructure (including the licensing service that validates keys).

7Intellectual property

The Apps, their design, code, and branding are owned by Roe Apps LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. Content you create with an App (your recordings, projects, and exports) belongs to you. These Terms grant you no rights in our trademarks.

8Third-party services and content

Some Apps interact with other software on your device or with third-party services (for example, AudioWarp retunes audio playing in apps like Spotify, YouTube, or Apple Music). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for those third parties, and you are responsible for complying with their terms.

9Disclaimer of warranties

The Apps and websites are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or third-party app.

10Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roe Apps LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Apps. Our total liability for any claim relating to an App will not exceed the amount you paid for that App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and these limits do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

11Termination

You may stop using the Apps at any time. We may suspend or end your license if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) continue after termination.

12Changes to the Apps and to these Terms

We may update, improve, or discontinue an App over time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will change the "last updated" date above, and significant changes will be noted on this page. Continuing to use the Apps after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Roe Apps LLC is organized, in the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
